Overview
G.655 optical fiber is a non-zero dispersion shifted single-mode fiber designed to optimize performance in the 1550 nm transmission window. Its low attenuation and controlled dispersion minimize nonlinear transmission effects, such as four-wave mixing, enabling high-quality signal delivery over long distances. The large effective area enhances system performance under high optical power, and its compliance with international standards ensures seamless integration into DWDM, CWDM, and EDFA-based systems.
