Background
CNPC is China’s largest oil and gas producer and supplier, as well as one of the world’s major oilfield service providers. It produces over 100 million tons crude oil, and 130 billion cubic meters natural gas every year in China. All of the products (Crude Oil, Refined Oil, Natural Gas) go through over 165,000 km different types of pipelines to reach users.
Customer Requirements and Challenges
As the pipelines cover the whole country, and most of them are in rural areas, so how to monitor the condition of pipelines is very important for CNPC. For years, CNPC takes latest ICT (Information Communication Technology) to deal with the problem, such as SCADA, Video Surveillance and etc.
Bland Technologies Solution
For deployment of all the ICT technologies, CNPC needs to lay fiber optic cable along pipelines firstly. As most of the pipelines are in rural area, and there are many animals to destroy the facility. So, we proposed our buried armored GYTA53 fiber optic cables to CNPC, and this cable use rodent-resistant material for protection.

CNPC can bury the fiber cable underground, or lay it along pipelines or through aerial poles, and they no longer to worry about destroy of animals. This does really simplify their work task and network maintenance.
