Background
China Telecom is the largest fixed network operator in China, which occupies more than 40% market share. In order to gain a dominant position in cloud computing, China Telecom decided to invest 7 billion RMB for building up a cloud computing information park in Guizhou province. The project started from Oct., 2013, and it is divided into 3 phases. After project completion, the park will cover 84 acres, including 29 buildings, 50,000 racks and 800,000 servers. It will be one of the world’s largest data centers.
Customer Requirements and Challenges
Due to superior geographical environment, Guizhou is one of the best locations to build data center in China. However, as the increasing of data needs, customers need to build a space save and future oriented data center.
Bland Technologies Solution
Wiring system is a key sub-system in data center, normally it occupies 20% of the rack space. And the design of wiring system will affect usage of data center. Because of its advantages for space saving and large capacity, we proposed our MPO system to China Telecom, and they are widely used in Phase 2 project.
